Freaky Explorers

From the moment we booked our train tickets and with our itinerary done , we were eagerly waiting for the Explorer Fellowship . Finally our await came to a conclusion .On the first day of Explorer Fellowship we visited Kondapalli , a town 22 KMS from Vijayawada . We explored Kondapalli by foot and to our astonishment we were mind blown to see the toys that are famous there . Then we travelled to Puri , Konark , Kolkata , Howrah and we changed our gears as we entered the North Eastern part of India . We reached Guwahati and from there we took a bus to Shillong . We reached Shillong at about 11pm and we enquired at the hotels . That was the first sad part of our journey because we could not find any vacancies in the hotels . We did not lose hope and finally , a person helped us in staying that night . On that night we learn an important lesson i.e., at every moment we should be ready enough to face the struggles that face us . We did the same thing there .

Next day , we visited the World’s cleanest village Mawlynnong and also visited Dawki lake which connects India and Bangladesh . We had a splendid experience there and moved to Gangtok .We booked a 3 days 2 night package to visit and explore North Sikkim . We stepped on the World’s highest altitude Lake , Gurudongmar lake . Next we went to Delhi , Agra and Manali . We were food poisoned at Manali and one of us was hospitalized .Then we took very much care about the food we ate then after .

On visiting Rohtang Pass to Udaipur , Surat , Mumbai , Aurangabad , we reached Goa . We hired a bike at Goa and visited beaches, then pushed our feet to God’sown country Kerala . We were mind blown to sea the beautiful rose harden , tea estates at Munnar and the Alleppey back waters . Next we visited Kanyakumari and just missed the chance to view the sun set there . We also visited Trivenisangamam , the place where three sea’s meet . Next , we moved to Madurai and Rameswaram and it was a splendid experience travelling on Pamban bridge that was but across the ocean . Then we headed towards Thanjavur and finally our journey came to a halt at Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai .

We covered 16 states and travelled about 14500 KMS on our 45 days trip . We surely believe that this trip will have a great impact on our attitude in our near future and also with the way of thinking . We heartfully thank IIT GANDHINAGAR for providing this wonderful opportunity to us . EXPLORER FELLOWSHIP helped us to dominate our abilities in every field .
