It has been verily said by Saint Augustine “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page”.India is a country with diverse geography, diverse language, diverse culture and last but not the least diverse cuisine. We began our trip with a theme of exploring the Entrepreneurs who are currently contributing in social and rural areas. We made our list and started from Mumbai. From there onwards we never stopped experiencing the cultural, linguistic and religious miscellany of our motherland. The trip exposed us to the never stopping but helpful nature of Bombay, the entrepreneurial spirit of Mr Santhosh Kaveri, a farmer in Belgaum,  never ending beaches of Goa, the spirituality and local cuisine of Udupi,  the mesmerising view of tea gardens in Munnar, sun diving in and out the ocean in Kanyakumari, the radiating calmness of Rameshwaram, the universal town of unity and harmony in Auroville, the temple triangle of Orissa, the beauty and cleanliness reflecting in the eyes of Sikkim, the breathtaking trekking in Cherrapunji, the essence of Nawabs in Lucknow, and the taste of Golden Temple and Chola kulcha in Amritsar.

We have also had the opportunity to meet a number of social entrepreneurs and interviewed them about their venture. We also tried to learn from their experiences of success and failure and are glad to share them with IITGn community through a video message.

Between all these varied experiences, we have learned that the people and the surroundings do not always end to your comfort, but you have to find your own peace in the circumstances provided. You do not always get room to sleep. You do not always get the cheapest ride, you have to find it for yourself. You do not always get to eat your heart out, sometimes the desire of the stomach should suffice your soul. You do not always go the right way, but have the courage to make it right. If you observe clearly you will realize that everything around you is testing you analyzing you. It is not necessary that you will always ace every paper on your way. What’s important is realizing the solemnity of that paper, giving your best at each one while keeping in mind that there is always at least one subject that no one can beat you at.

One of the most interesting aspects of our journey have been people. How truth can hide behind the most devious faces, how dishonesty can empower people to earn. How does every child wherever it may have the striking similarity of innocence, of being unknown to the world. How so many people are working with every shred of energy left, for whom time is not a constraint. These questions do not change with borders. These questions do not vary with caste, color, and religion.

Collectively it was rejuvenating experience with some of the very challenging experience which we were able to tackle with the blessings of calmness and serenity of our motherland This experience motivates us to never stop even if one is enervated of failure because the next step when you feel you should stop is the step to success.
