In Jaipur we visited Surabhi Kala Kendra where Rajendra who showed us how block printing is done. The vastness of cultural clothing in Rajasthan can also be experienced Udaipur, City of Lakes. From Rajasthan to Mumbai we mostly travelled along the west coast and we faced a lot of humid climate. But the real excitement was when we were walking in and out the caves of ellora, the stone carvings were so fine that it was hard to believe such skilled work. Marina beach and Juhu beach gave a great experience in Mumbai. We were quite excited about the beaches because all of us literally saw beach for the first time in our lives. But our next destination was Goa so we decided to not indulge in salt bath here. In Goa we met another group and together we did great fun on beaches there. Chikmagalur holds a special place in our hearts. It is a quiet place without much hecticness of a city. Vista of beautiful coffee gardens is captured in our memories. Mangalore is a typical metropolitan. It has great markets, restaurants, theatres etc. During our time there, it was being struck by a cyclone. Authorities here in IIT sent notifications suggesting students to refrain from certain places including Mangalore. We certainly had a very hard time trying to reach railway station from our hotel as Mangalore was receiving heavy rainfall and auto-rickshaws were throwing tantrums, water level in streets was touching knees. All in all south was great with its amazing food and spectacular vistas and a particular quietness as compared to north. Again several things were for first time in our lives in this fellowship. In north-east, we visited Gangtok and Guwahati. Gangtok provides better crux of north-east, beautiful valleys, lakes, heights where clouds are touching streets, fog restricting visibilty.
