We are MiaSanMia and over a course of 45 days we visited 10 states and numerous places. Our Adventure began in Mumbai, an impromptu decision as we had to wait 12 hours for our train to Aurangabad so we began to explore the city. Aurangabad did not greet us well as the hotel we had booked was closed. This was soon forgotten as we visited the picturesque sights it had to offer. After Aurangabad we left for Vijayapura a city overflowing with Mughal architecture. Hampi was our next destination, an extremely beautiful city packed with temples showcasing its kings love for god and architecture. We then left for Gandikota and its humongous canyon second only to the grand canyon. We then embarked on an extremely long train journey to Guwahati which passed through Hyderabad an excuse for some biryani.Then came Majuli ,it is aptly known as the island of peace for its serene views and quiet rural atmosphere. Our home for the next week was Sikkim which we explored to its fullest from the snow capped mountains to the tranquil monasteries. Due to Cloudbursts in the North we had to change our plans, this led us to Dehradun and its incredible Forest Research Institute. Our journey then took us to Spiti Valley, a place whose route was just as spectacular as the destination. Our trip ended in Rajasthan where we visited Jaipur and Jodhpur, two amazing cities known for the magnificent palaces and forts.
Last minute train cancellations, plan alterations and illnesses caused a few problems. Our relationship was strained and strengthened throughout the whole trip and we have got to know each other better. The trip has taught us a lot in a short time and we are thankful for the opportunity.
