During the month of January of an academic year, applications are invited for the Explorer Fellowship. The link to apply for the Fellowship is available on the Home page during a fixed time period, after which the applications are not considered. Fellows have to form a team, and the team’s application is selected not any individual application.

Probably not! Team constraint of 3 members has been kept after apt consideration while designing the guidelines. The whole essence of the program is lost if one travels with so many members.

According to the current guidelines, fellows can only travel in groups of either 2 or 3 members. However different members can belong to different programs of study.

A team of 2 or 3 members apply for the Fellowship. They have to submit their itinerary, objectives, cost break down etc. beforehand. The selected applicants are called for an Interview and then the final selection is done. A team as a whole gets selected/rejected and not individual fellows.

Yes. All the members of the group have to be at least 18 years old before starting their journey.

Each member of a team has to be a bonafide student of IIT Gandhinagar. However there are no further constraints for selecting the members of a team.
