Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) places great emphasis on not only educating successful engineers of the future, but also creating well-rounded personalities, who contribute to society, are respectful of and can adapt to their surroundings, and prove themselves to be great thinkers and problem solvers in all avenues of life. The starting step toward realizing the Institute's vision is our Foundation Programme - a 4-week-long immersive experience for the first-year students joining IIT Gandhinagar.

For the incoming 2023 batch, the foundation program will be conducted from 1 August - 25 August. The philosophy behind the Foundation Programme is to introduce students, who have been generally limited to JEE preparation for the past 2-3 years, to a range of hands-on activities, interactions with eminent personalities, and opportunities to express themselves in any and every way. The following five pillars lay the foundation of the programme.
