Applications are closed for Indian nationals. Others may apply through AIT.

Instructions for Applying to the AIT-IITGN dual masters programme

Candidates interested in the AIT-IITGN double Masters programme and who meet the eligibility criteria can apply to the respective admission portals as follows:

  • Indian nationals should apply through IITGN.
  • Non-Indian nationals should apply through AIT.
  • 3. Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria of both AIT and IITGN. The institute that admits the candidate (the “admitting Institute”) shall be the first point of contact for any queries. Students admitted at the admitting Institute shall also be admitted to the partner Institute without any further process. Each student will be assigned a faculty advisor at AIT and at IITGN, who will guide the students on their academic plan for the programme.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for IITGN

Minimum of 55% marks/5.5 CGPA/CPI (on a 10 point scale) in Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/Bachelor of Technology (BTech)/4 year Bachelor of Science (BS)/Master of Science (MSc) or equivalent in appropriate branches. The minimum eligibility criteria for students from India admitted by IITGN, from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) will be 50% marks/5.0 CGPA/CPI (on a 10 point scale).

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for AIT

4 year Bachelor degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 or equivalent and English proficiency score in IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/AIT-EET. Note that while IITGN does not require an English proficiency score, AIT does and therefore, all candidates must obtain a sufficient score even if their admitting Institute is IITGN. Indian nationals can take the AIT-EET (an online test) at any time before applying and must score at least 6.0 to be eligible. More details can be found here: https://languages.ait.ac.th/online-eet/

Joining and Residency Plan

Newly-admitted students will begin their programme at AIT for one year, and complete their second year at IITGN. Students will maintain their registration at both institutes throughout the duration of the programme.
