The charcoal painting signifies the civilization in disarray. The chaotic life in a city has been depicted through the painted vehicles cluttered on indefinite space of canvas. The absence of organic structure in the painting foregrounds the characters in a chaotic life. The artist intended to accentuate the idea of darkness as a suggestive of an absence of sense of vision, of a structure. The whole idea of mankind in existence is underpinned by the very nature of representation.
